It looks as if the driver taking evasive action failed to check his right hand side. Perhaps using brakes would have been best instead of "swerve to avoid".

I hit a deer here About four years ago.

Well, it's finally done.
In 2007 I hit a deer while riding my 2001 Suzuki Bandit GSF600s, and tonight was it's maiden voyage post accident. Now I remember why I was trading it in on a VFR. :P
Most of you know what it's like to ride a street bike, but I've been off them for so very long that the seating position is foreign to me, the leaning into a corner... It's coming back, but I'd still take my KLR over the Bandit unless it's a long highway ride, as anything over 100kph the Bandit rules and delivers a nice smooth ride, albeit the stock windscreen is too small and I'm getting tons of buffeting unless I hug the tank.
I think I'm taller than the Japanese test riders. :P

2007 Oh no!!! Not again! In which I practise the vault over top the hood of a Buick.

It never starts out to be a lousy day, and in point of fact, barring the collision and associated events, it was a great day to be out on two wheels and with my friends. The route was going to be circuitous and far longer than a cager would feel necessary, but it's not the destination so much as how you get there.

Hamming it up because I can.

An accident involving a deer and four motorcyclists on Highway 404 led police to close the southbound lanes until around 11:30 p.m. 

The accident occurred when a deer wandered into the highway near Davis Dr., said Sgt. Rob Michaud with Ontario Provincial Police. One of the motorcyclists hit the deer, which was killed. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries, while the other motorcyclists were treated on scene.
